One more step before TV goes completely digital

AS THE final step in Australia's move to digital-only, TV channels will change frequencies between now and the end of 2014 with the retune date depending on the location from the tower you receive your TV signal from.

The national program that moves free-to-air television channels to new frequencies to free up space for new services such as mobile broadband.

The eight TV towers will be retuned in the Agnes Water, Eidsvold, Gympie Town, Hervey Bay, Monto, Nanango, Tin Can Bay and Wide Bay areas.

This means the audience will need to retune their TVs to continue receiving free-to-air channels

People within the same town or city will have different retune dates, as some areas may be serviced by a number of TV towers.

The public can find the retune date in their area by entering their address into the "Get retune info" box at http://www.digitalready.gov.au/retune.
