Residents furious over this silly thing?

TRUCKIES have been left flummoxed by the news that residents are furious about trucks carting sand through suburban streets to replenish Adelaide beaches.

"How else do they expect the sand to get there?” asked Jack Lynch.

"Magically float through the sky and land silently on the beach? Just like food magically appears in supermarkets, tools just pop up in hardware stores or building materials just turn up at the building sites to construct their homes?

"What a wonderful world these people must live in.”

Mike Burston said people needed to remember the sand dunes were a dynamic system and they move a lot over time.

"Also the more grains the shires put in the worse the erosion of the beach will get as it forces the migrating sand out further than the surf zone and then it won't get washed back as easily.”
