Regime's ethnic cleansing should be condemned by the world

WHILE the rest of the world watches on, the Syrian Assad regime continues to decimate, desecrate, condone mass ethnic cleansing, and watch as their beloved country is reduced to rubble, despair, hopelessness and helplessness. This is happening now in 2018, and not only in Syria.

I can't help but compare the well-documented treatment of our Aborigines, especially in the past since the introduction of European settlement and the progress made in at least the past 40 or so years, thanks in part to our right of freedom of speech and expression and of course our governments

Some readers may not see the analogy, but for me, it makes me appreciate our country and democracy all the more and again realise how well off we are, continue to be so, and grieve for those less fortunate.
