Red Bulls look to continue the wins

LEAGUE: The Wallumbilla-Surat Red Bulls can continue their winning start to 2016 on Sunday – but first they’ll have to tame the fiery St George Saints.

The teams, who will meet halfway along the Carnarvon Hwy in Surat, are unbeaten in 2016.

While the Red Bulls were made to work for their win against Mitchell a fortnight ago, St George also blitzed the Magpies last week 70-6.

The players who played in a blue jersey for South-West Queensland last week will now be opposing one another again, with Red Bulls players like Locke Naprasnik, Blake Cowburn, Les Wortley and Rhys Irwin to do battle with St George stars Charlie Adams, Clinton Taylor and Dan Dwyer.

It is a similar predicament in the Reserve Grade, with one side to leave Surat with their first loss of the season after both sides hammered the Magpies in consecutive weeks.

In a reversal of forms, each clubs’ under-18s teams will be looking to notch their first win of the season after a less than ideal start to the year.

Both Mitchell and Roma Cities have byes this week.

Start times: under-16s 11am; under-18s 12.15pm; Reserve Grade 1.30pm; A-Grade 3pm.
