TIME is running out to nominate for the prestigious City of Ipswich Sports Awards.

Do you know someone who has excelled in their sporting pursuits?

Achievers at your club making state and national teams?

What about thanking that tireless volunteer who can always be counted on to help out at a club?

Have you had the pleasure of interacting with one of those special coaches who is not only great at the sport side of things but instils the values of sports-manship and determination?

The annual awards offer up to $2000 in prizemoney.

The categories available for nomination are:

University of Southern Queensland Team of the Year,

Queensland Times Senior Sportsperson of the Year,

Volunteer of the Year,

Sporting Organisation of the Year,

City of Ipswich Junior Sportsperson of the Year,

Masters Sportsperson of the Year,

Aussie Home Loans Coach of the Year,

Official of the Year.

Western Pride Girls Come and Try Days

WESTERN Pride are hosting free girls come and try days for girls born in 2009 and 2010.

Western Pride run a high level academy called the Skills Acquisition Program (SAP) and have highly qualified coaches including ex-Matilda Belinda Kitching.

The days are planned for Wednesday and Thursday this week at the Briggs Road Sporting Complex at Flinders View.

The sessions are from 5.30pm- 6.45pm.
