Fukushima reactor bosses face up to 5 years jail
THREE former Tokyo Electric Power Co executives charged over their actions in the 2011 Fukushima nuclear disaster will reportedly plead not guilty.
TEPCO chairman Tsunehisa Katsumata and former vice-presidents Sakae Muto and Ichiro Takekuro have been charged with professional negligence resulting in deaths and injury.
Prosecutors had been reluctant to take action but were forced to proceed after a judicial review panel - made up of ordinary citizens - ruled last July that the trio should be put on trial.
They could face up to five years in jail.
