Ranjit loves trucking in Australia

ENTHUSIASTIC cricket follower Ranjit Singh is one of an increasing number of Indian men who drive trucks in New South Wales.

Ranjit was delighted that India had beaten Australia in the four Test series, which finished in early January.

Based at Liverpool in NSW, Ranjit had stopped for a rest and was listening to the third Test in his Isuzu when Big Rigs saw him.

"I deliver frozen goods around NSW and do a lot of trips to Canberra,” he said.

The company he drives for is Emergent Cold.

Ranjit was born in India and loves Australia.

"This is a very good country and I am happy to live and work here,” he said.

Ranjit, 25, said the rest area beside the Pacific Hwy near the Hawkesbury River was a great place to stop for a break.

Ranjit said that India could now be rated the number one Test cricket team in the world.
