Sugar film will shed light on the dangers of sweetness

QUITTING sugar may seem like a hard task but Trish Robertson believes it can be achievable with the right guidance and direction.

The Bundaberg naturopath has introduced an eight-week Let's Quit Sugar program from her Burnett House Natural Therapies clinic.

"Today we live in a fast-paced world where there is not a lot of time to eat properly or think about right food choices," she said.

"The Let's Quit Sugar program is an eight-week cycle of breaking the sugar habit that we get ourselves into."

"It involves appointments, a quit sugar book and herbal remedies to help along the way."

Ms Robertson said sugar has a huge impact on health and has been indicated as a main contributor to many health conditions.

"There are many health risks including diabetes, under active thyroid, high cholesterol, digestive issues, anxiety, stress and immune problems," she said.
