Queen rock musical gets extra show

WITH 24 of Queen's hit songs, Rockhampton Regional Council's upcoming musical We Will Rock You was always going to be a big show, but now it will be even bigger with the announcement of an extra performance.

The additional show on Sunday, March 25, at 6pm brings the total number of performances to six.

We Will Rock You is a spectacular rock musical created by Queen and Ben Elton. It features a cast of more than 30, backed by an eight-piece band.

Audiences will enjoy hits such as We are the Champions, I Want To Break Free, Killer Queen, Under Pressure, Bohemian Rhapsody, Another One Bites The Dust, We Will Rock You and more.

There are still good seats available for all performances.

Director Wayne Scott Kermond said he was thrilled another performance had been added to the season.

"Through our very successful previous productions Mary Poppins and Wicked, audience members know they are going to get a quality show,” he said.

"By scheduling this extra performance we are making sure that everyone who wants to see the show, gets a chance to.

"If you have ever wanted to hear the music of Queen live on stage here in Rockhampton with a great band, don't leave it too late, this is your chance.”
