The Preatures set to rock Toowoomba's Blank Space
SYDNEY-based rock band The Preatures are set to bring their massive regional tour to Toowoomba in August.
The Is This How You Feel hitmakers will take over Blank Space at the Mills precinct on August 24.
The show is part of a massive 40-show regional Australia tour, which will also visit areas such as Gladstone, Townsville and Cairns.
Blank Space owner Phil Coorey said he was excited to welcome the band back to Toowoomba.
"I've been a fan of theirs for a while and what they do is amazing," he said.
"They're currently one of the best bands in Australia at the moment, it's a big get. Their new album is great and the entire regional tour they are doing is amazing.
"We need to encourage more acts to think regional."
The Preatures are no strangers to Toowoomba, having performed in the Garden City at the 2015 Carnival of Flowers.
Mr Coorey said he also hoped a local support act could be added to the bill.
"It would give them so much more exposure," he said.
"We've got some really good bands putting their best foot forward."
Mr Coorey said he hoped the show would be a huge success, like the Meg Mac and Vera Blue shows were last year.
"I can honestly say this is only the beginning, you'll be seeing a lot more from us," he said.
"Maybe a festival one day, that's the endgame, consistently great shows at the Spotted Cow or Blank Space."
General admission to the show, which will kick off at 8pm, will cost $34.70.
Tickets to the show are on sale now and can be purchased through Oztix.
