Pioneer's descendant farewelled
DESCENDANTS of Warwick pioneer Henry Tucker came from around Australia for a family funeral this week.
The great grandson-in-law of Henry Tucker, Peter Blenkinsopp, was laid to rest at St Mark’s on Wednesday.
His wife Jacqueline Blenkinsopp, nee Tucker, came from Western Australia for the service.
Henry Tucker was a renowned figure in Warwick in the latter half of the 1800s.
His family home was The Elms homestead on the corner of Wood and Albion streets, which is now occupied by LJ Hooker.
The family were also bakers at the L.E. Overstead bakery along Palmerin St.
