REVEALED: Pauline Hanson's strongest CQ supporters

ROCKHAMPTON businessman and former mayoral candidate Dominic Doblo says his phone has been inundated with hundreds of calls this week - and it's all thanks to Pauline Hanson.

The excitement, he said, was because the newly elected senator would be visiting Rockhampton for a community forum event from 5.30pm Friday at the Robert Schwarten Pavilion.

Mr Doblo, who organised the visit from the senator after he was approached by her earlier this month, said the phone just hadn't stopped ringing.

He said he expected around 500 people to attend the forum, but he was shocked by Ms Hanson's most popular demographic.

"She is the most popular with 30 to 35-year-old men," Mr Doblo said.

And the controversial Ms Hanson also seems to be the most popular with Berserker, Cawarrall, Dysart, Lakes Creek, Middlemount and The Caves residents.

Data from the most recent federal and senate elections show strong support for Ms Hanson's One Nation party in those particular suburbs.

And this support might be indicative of just how popular Friday night's event could be.\

"They just want to meet her, they just want to listen to her. Most people just want to get there and meet her and get their photo taken with her," Mr Doblo said.

"I do not doubt she will be well received. Even people my age, they all might have voted LNP or Labor but they voted for Pauline in the senate."

Mr Doblo said the big focus on the night would be jobs, water infrastructure and refugees.

"We spoke at length on job creation and the government building infrastructure," he said.

"I don't believe that we should be having people coming here when we don't even have jobs for Australians.

"No good bringing people here and being the hero and putting them on welfare, that is not helping them one bit."
