PARAMEDICS are treating a person who has reportedly almost drowned at a Sunshine Coast beach this afternoon.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesman said the incident occurred at 2.54pm out the front of the Coolum Beach Surf Life saving club.

The spokesman said after CPR was administered, the patient was breathing but was initially in and out of consciousness. 

The patient had fully regained consciousness and was taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
