THE NEWEST festival fashion making its debut at Splendour in the Grass stands out just as much in the dark as during the day.

Former Byron local Saci Magree has chosen this weekend's festival at Yelgun to introduce her new "Glo Tatts", metallic glow-in-the-dark temporary tattoos and paint.

The Mullumbimby Steiner School graduate, now based in Melbourne, launched the product through her website one month ago and Splendour offers her a massive audience to test out her designs.

Magree, whose identical twin sister Rada is a fashion designer, has been drawing designs freehand on the faces of fellow fashion fanatics.

"I love festivals and dressing up but jewelry is too heavy," she said.

"The paint glow blue and I'm hoping to do more colours soon."

Face paint in general is a major trend at this year's festival, with guys as well as girls getting the body decoration.
