O'TOOLE Produce and Plastics is home to three of Brisbane's iconic classic trucks, and they'll be attending the Historic Commercial Vehicle Association Queensland's (HCVAQ) annual show at Gatton in September.

The 23rd annual Old Truck and Tractor Show at the Gatton Showgrounds will take place on 24 September from 8am to 4pm, and if you haven't got plans, it's about the best way to spend a Saturday!

Paul O'Toole of O'Toole Produce and Plastics showed us his three restored classic trucks, and they're as straight and clean as they come.

Paul's immaculate Chevrolet Series 1600 will make an appearance at the show, fully restored after working as a farm pick-up truck at O'Toole Produce in Illowa, Victoria from 1947 to 2008.

When Paul brought the truck up to Brisbane to restore it back in 2009, the original engine fired straight up and they drove it off the back of the truck!

The other two beautifully restored trucks work six days a week at the business, and have become icons around the Brisbane Produce Market.

The hard working 1982 Ford N8000 with its trusty Cat V8 works around the clock to deliver produce, and its driver Steve Ames treats it with about as much respect as you can give a machine!

The other working rig is a 1979 Kenworth K125, driven by Rod Nunn, that carts plastics and produce and looks the part, too.

The Kenworth reflects Paul's earlier working life with his father, Kevin O'Toole, when they purchased a brand new K125 in 1980.

While Paul didn't track down the same K125, this one he's got is a real beauty and a big part of the business.

The themes this year are Ford commercial vehicles and Ferguson tractors, but all makes and models will be in attendance, so you're set to see something special!

The team at O'Tooles Produce and Plastics can't wait to get the trucks up to the show at Gatton, where they'll spend the day checking out the array of trucks and tractors on offer.

"We're all looking forward to the HCVAQ Annual Show, where we will feature our working trucks," said Paul.

"We're particularly excited to show our Ford Louisville N8000 from 1982, a hard working commercial truck within the Brisbane Produce Market."
