RESIDENTS of Cherbourg will have the chance to improve their health and wellbeing at an upcoming expo.   The annual event offers free health checks including blood glucose levels, blood pressure, haemoglobin and weight.   There will also be an opportunity for people to have their blood taken and urine tested.   Genette Simpson from the Cherbourg Community Health Service said the event was growing in popularity each year.   "The health expo is a good chance for people to get a free, quick and easy check over by health workers," she said.   "The expo is held each year during NAIDOC week, in collaboration with other local services including the Cherbourg Aboriginal Shire Council and The Ration Shed Museum."   The day will also include information and free resources from other health and community service providers, a free barbecue lunch and kid's activities.   The health expo will be held at the Cherbourg Community Health Service campus, Fisher Street on Tuesday July 5 from 10am to 2pm.   For more information contact Genette Simpson on 4169 8900.
