GOLD Coast professional surfer and model Ellie-Jean Coffey made an awkward mistake on her public Facebook account yesterday while promoting a hotel app.
The 22-year-old evidently forgot to edit the advertiser's scripted post, leaving in bracketed markers that were obviously meant to be replaced with the relevant emojis.
'I drink coconuts not book hotels on the weekend. That's why I used @hotelscombined app. Mexico accommodation done! (HOTEL EMOJI)', the post read.
"More time for Bikinis and Coconuts (EMOJI)"
Whether the gaffe was an accident or a show of indifference towards sponsored post obligations, is unclear.
However the post remained unedited over 24 hours later.
