One lane of the M5 to be closed during a salvage operation

POLICE are continuing investigations into the cause of a truck rollover on the M5 at Padstow in New South Wales this morning.

About 8:10am, two trucks were involved in a collision on the eastbound lanes of the M5 near Fairford Rd.

As a result of the collision one of the trucks rolled onto its side. A man and two boys travelling in the truck sustained minor injuries during the collision.

At 9pm tonight one eastbound lane of the M5 and the Fairford Road on-ramp will be closed while a salvage operation is conducted. Further lane closures are expected throughout the night.

Motorists are being warned to avoid the area, consider alternate routes and expect significant traffic delays tonight.
