THE executions of Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran could be carried out in the coming week, with Australian embassy officials in Jakarta called to a meeting with the Indonesian Ministry of foreign affairs on Monday.

Fairfax Media understands embassies whose nationals are being executed have all been summonsed for the Monday meeting. A spokeswoman for Foreign Minister Julie Bishop confirmed the meeting.

"The Australian Embassy in Jakarta, along with a number of other diplomatic missions, has been invited to a meeting with the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday," a spokeswoman said.

The Indonesian government has promised it will give 72 hours notice to those facing execution.

When five foreign drug felons were executed in Indonesia on January 18, the embassies were notified a day before Attorney-General H.M. Prasetyo held a press conference to announce the timing of the executions.
