Oakey resident busting bills with bingo

ROBYN Gesler loves a game of bingo, so once she received her bingo card in The Chronicle she decided to have a crack.

It paid off when she crossed off the last number on game one and was able to ring The Chronicle and register to go into the draw for $1000 worth of fuel cards.

The Oakey resident said she loved to pop down to her local bingo game twice a week, but the stakes there were considerably lower.

It was only the second time she has won a major prize and despite her irregular driving, she knew the cards would be handy.

"I don't drive that much because I'm a carer for my husband, but I'll probably give my kids one each as well," she said.

She said she was surprised when she marked off her last number and immediately shouted to her grandson wondering what to do next.

She rang up and registered for the weekly draw and was thrilled to win the first week's prize.

She's now hoping to get enough numbers to go into the draw to win this week's prize of a $1000 debit card.
