Non-stop action: Fists will fly at fight night in Yeppoon

MUAY THAI: Spectators will be treated to a feast of hard-hitting action when the Bare Knuckles Fight Club hosts Road to Glory 3 at Yeppoon on Saturday night.

The program will feature muay thai and boxing, with more than 10 fights on the program which starts at 6pm at the Capricorn Coast Recreation Centre in Cordingley St.

Event co-promoter Sandy Schofield said fighters from Yeppoon, Rockhampton, Townsville, Mackay, Blackwater and Bundaberg would take part.

"There will be plenty of full-contact action,” he said.

"The night will start with boxing, with the main bout between Blackwater's Bogden Golankov and Rhino Mixed Martial Arts's Will Teilagga.”

Schofield said a major drawcard would be a rematch between muay thai fighters Jye Willie from Rhino MMA and Matt Shaw from Bare Knuckles Fight Club.

Shaw took the honours when the two fought at the last Round to Glory event in May but Willie will be keen to avenge that loss when he steps into the ring this weekend.

The main bout will be in the 82kg class between Snake Pit Muay Thai's Torin O'Brien and Mackay's James Tingle.

Schofield said another highly anticipated fight would be between Alana Jane from Bare Knuckles Fight Club and Emma Chambers from Rhino MAA.

Tickets are $20 for general admission and $35 for ringside seating and are available on the night or by calling 0484302615 or 0423629278.
