No stress of being an owner driver for Mick

GOOD to catch up with our old mate Mick Reeve from Launceston when he dropped in to the Bennett's Caltex 24 hour Roadhouse/Truckstop at Kempton.

He was driving an eye catching Gradco 2018 K-200 "Big Cab” with a 600 X-15 Cummins up the front, and towing an oversize load of earth moving equipment (crane buckets, in fact) from Hobart on his way to Bell Bay.

"Well Gradco are certainly a top outfit, and as you can see they run just the best gear,” he said.

"I've been with them for about four-and-a-bit good years now and I am made up with job.

"I spent the previous 23 years as an owner driver, and whilst I really enjoy getting back into the 'Poison Ivy' green K-200 of my own from time to time around February, I can't fault working for Gradco.

"You get tons of variety, and work all over the state as well, they are well organised and you don't have all the stress and worries of being an owner driver.”

When he has a bit of time off, it is spent walking, fishing, motor bike riding, or anything else as long as it's outdoors, and also spending quality time with the family.
