'No shots were fired': Man arrested after Nanango incident

A 27-YEAR-OLD Blackbutt man is currently assisting police with inquiries after an incident in Nanango this afternoon.

At around 2.30pm, police attended the BP service station in relation to a vehicle of interest.

When officers approached the vehicle, the driver allegedly sped off.

A QPS spokeswoman said a lot of misinformation was currently circulating on social media about the incident.

"Guns were not drawn and no shots were fired," she said.

The man was later arrested without incident at 5pm at Upper Yarraman.

Police will allege the man had been involved in multiple incidents across the South Burnett area.

Investigations are continuing.

More to come.
