No happy endings in Game of Thrones

ARE there ever happy endings in Game of Thrones?

We are unsure, but one thing we are certain of is that people of the Tweed love Game of Thrones.

It was our top story for two days last week.

We don't want to give away too much about the latest episode, but if you're in anyway on Facebook or Twitter it's likely your news feed has been inundated with comments.

It's becoming hard to avoid and for good reason, according to Twitter the latest episode, Red Wedding, got 367,000 Tweets, which broke the previous record of 277,000 Tweets.

There's likely to be 100,000s more as more countries air the program.

The popular show is also the most illegally downloaded TV series in the world.

Next week is the final episode in season 3 and we're not sure if it can get anymore gripping than this week's episode.

Fans will have to wait until 2014 to get their season 4 Game of Thrones fix.

Here are some of the fan's reactions on Twitter:

Warning spoilers

"Why doesn't George RR Martin have Twitter? Because he killed all 140 characters. #GOT," Chris Taylor þ@_christaylor 18h Tweeted.

"What I just witnessed on #gameofthrones hurts more than when my parents got divorced. My therapist and I have a whole new set of issues," Joshua Schottland @bonelesswings Tweeted.

"It's too bad 'entourage' didn't end like that #GoT," Andy Levy @andylevy Tweeted.
