No fix this week for Game of Thrones fans

GAME of Thrones fans will have to wait until June 2 to get their fix.

The HBO television series, which airs on pay television on Mondays, didn't air this week due to a public holiday in the US.

The program's absence caused a bit of grief for dedicated Australian fans.

Stressed out fans across the globe vented their concerns on Twitter.

"WHY IS THERE NO GAME OF THRONES ON TONIGHT? WHYYYYYYYY?," Ciara Baxendale tweeted.

"No Game of Thrones this week. So, I'm just gonna go back to sleep for another 7 days," Anna Kendrick tweeted.

"My life feels so empty with no new game of thrones episode this week," Jovan Badhan tweeted.

The popular fantasy show only has two episodes left in season 3.

But never fear, in April HBO announced the TV series would return for a fourth season.
