No fear for Reed as grand finalist

ELLEN Reed isn't feeling the pressure of The Voice grand final.

The Caboolture singer is one of four grand finalists on Channel 9's reality singing show who will battle it out Sunday night for a record deal with Universal Music and $100,000.

Ms Reed said the hardest part of the show was already behind her.

"This has probably been the calmest and excited I've been the entire way through," she told the Daily.

"I feel like the pressure's off after surviving the two instant votes last week (in the semi-final).

"This is everyone's final week on the show, and we're just determined to have fun. It almost feels like graduation week in high school."

In Sunday's two-hour live grand final she will perform with fellow finalists Alfie Arcuri, Adam Ladell and Tash Lockhart and sing a duet with her mentor Jessie J.

"Rehearsals have been going a treat," she said.

"I cannot reveal too much (about the duet) but it will have you up on your feet dancing. It's a great feel-good track and we're having a blast with it."

Performing with her mentor has been another learning experience for the 28-year-old.

"We did a sound check the other night and there were so many times I stopped what I was doing to watch her," she said.

"She's incredible when she gets up on that stage and I'm hoping I can keep up."

If Ms Reed is one of the two singers to receive the most votes from the public, then she will also perform her winner's single, the song she will release if she is crowned The Voice of 2016.

"It's a great song and I'm super happy with it," she said.

"I've been lucky Universal (Music) has given me an incredible track. It's something that I would release and is in line with who I am as an artist."

Ms Reed, who is the only Queensland contestant remaining on the show, said she felt the support of the entire Sunshine State behind her.

"I'm so humbled by the responses I've been getting from people," she said.

"The support I've received has been amazing and I just want to thank everyone who has voted for me."

The Voice grand final airs Sunday at 7pm on Channel 9.
