Nine Mile Roadhouse rates top of Rob's list

ROB James was delivering milk to businesses at Mount Molloy in the Far North when Big Rigs ambushed him on January 11.

Friendly Rob works for Dickerson Milk, which is based at the tourist mecca of Port Douglas.

"I normally drive an Isuzu rigid but have a smaller vehicle today,” he said.

Rob had delivered a crate of milk to the National Hotel at Mount Molloy, which is 40km from Mareeba.

"We deliver milk, cheese and eggs and Mount Molloy is a nice little sport,” he said.

One of the other places Rob drops into is the Nine Mile Roadhouse between the Captain Cook Highway and Julatten.

"This is a nice place to work and live and I love it,” he said.

Many trucks travel daily through Mount Molloy in their travels between the Atherton Tablelands and Cooktown region.
