CURRENTLY on a boat all the way from Los Angeles, a new projector for the Proserpine Entertainment centre is expected to hit Australian shores tomorrow.

From there, the 'Christie' digital projection, will be en route to Proserpine and is predicted to start screening films in coming weeks.

The projector means an upgrade of sound for the entertainment centre, as well as a new screen for improved vision.

The Christie will feature world-class projection displays and visualisation solutions, ideal for movie screenings. Proserpine Entertainment Centre manager Chris Patrick said the new projector would be an added attraction to the Whitsundays and promises to bring recent films to the big screen.

Once the projector is installed and ready for use, it will screen movies seven days a week during various times of the day.
