New leaders appointed in senior roles at Linfox

LINFOX has announced several senior leadership changes in the ANZ business - Annette Carey has been appointed non-executive director on the Linfox Logistics ANZ Board and Mark Mazurek has been appointed to the role of Linfox Logistics chief executive officer ANZ.

"These changes reflect the continued renewal of our leadership to meet the needs of our customers. Our industry is evolving and we are well-positioned for future growth," said Linfox executive chairman Peter Fox.

An influential leader at Linfox for the past decade, Annette has been chief executive officer since 2014 in which time the company has exceeded its financial, new business and safety targets year on year.

Most recently she has implemented the Linfox 2020 Strategy, overseen the acquisitions of BevChain and Aurizon, repositioned the Linfox IT strategy and invested in developing our people.

"Annette joins the Board as Linfox continues its growth following recent acquisitions. Her appointment reflects the value Annette brings to Linfox and the respect in which Annette is held by both Linfox and the industry. I thank her for her time as CEO and welcome her as a Non-Executive Director to the Board," said Mr Fox.

Mark Mazurek joined Linfox in 2006 and will take up the CEO role on February 1, 2018.

Mark has held many senior leadership roles at Linfox.

Most recently he has transformed the intermodal business unit, making it sustainable and successful and led the Resources and Industrial business unit through an important transition phase.

"Mark has been central to the acquisition of Aurizon assets in Northern Queensland and the development of strategic facilities such as our new Darwin railhead. Mark brings exceptional operational acumen along with new thinking and energy," said Mr Fox.

"In the past 12 months, Linfox has renewed its leadership team and we will continue to do this as the industry develops to ensure that we meet the needs of our customers."
