National selectors keen to keep Millerick twins in sight

AUSTRALIA'S stride towards the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games gathered pace today with the National Selection Panel announcing the sport's top two high performance tiers, the Australian Jackaroos and Australia A squads, for 2013.

The squads are as strong as they ever have been and in a sign Bolivia and Cassandra Millerick are on the national selector's radar they have been selected in the state-based National Training Centre (NTC) program.

Overseen by national coach Steve Glasson OAM, the NTC will play a key role in the preparation of identified squad members to achieve international success, implementing Bowls Australia's high performance philosophy and programs, focusing on the daily training environment for the Australian Under-18, Australian emerging and NTC squad members.

NTC QLD squad: Kiani Andersen, Shahn Griffiths, Bolivia Millerick, Cassandra Millerick, Connie-Leigh Rixon, Pam Rowe, April Wilson, Lauren Wilson, Des Cann Jnr, Eric Copeland, Dean McWhinney, Sam White, Robbie Wild, Brendon Wilson, coach Brett Wilkie.
