TOOWOOMBA Snake Catchers 24/7 might not be known for busting myths, but last week they took on that role when the business caught a snake on top of a water tank.

In a video shared to social media snake catchers for the business can be seen lifting a snake off the roof of a water tank.

"Who said venomous snakes can't climb," the business wrote on Facebook, addressing an old wives tale that poisonous snakes cannot climb.

"This eastern brown snake made its way into this water tank to have a drink and cool off but found itself stuck with no way of out."
