A MAN told police he "had a doctor's certificate saying his arm wasn't allowed to be arrested" when officers tried to handcuff him.
Ipswich Magistrates Court heard police arrived at a disturbance at Ripley on February 23 to find Shane Robert Kemp heavily intoxicated.
Officers decided to leave him be but Kemp, 24, followed them out to the police car and started shouting abuse at them.
He was warned to calm down but his bad behaviour escalated and he lunged at police.
Officers attempted to arrest him and Kemp struggled and resisted, and said his arm had a medical certificate saying it wasn't allowed to be arrested.
Kemp was charged with public nuisance and obstructing police.
He pleaded guilty to both charges today and was fined $350.
