HOLD onto your hats as this year's Optus Gympie Music Muster is expected to be a rip- roaring good time.
A star-studded line-up, including country music icons Kenny Rogers, Kasey Chambers and Shane Nicholson, John Williamson, The McClymonts and Lee Kernaghan has fans leaping with excitement.
Add to the list the celebration of Australia's traditional country music and you have a music event not to be missed.
The Heritage concert for starts on the fourth day of the Muster, August 26.
It will feature regulars Chad Morgan, Dean Perrett, Tracy Coster, Graham Rodger, Peter Coad and The Coad Sisters and The Muirs and will run in the Heritage Theatre in the Maton Talent Search venue.
New Gympie Music Muster chief executive officer James Dein is excited about the heritage-themed concert.
"We are so proud to welcome the return of heritage values to the Muster program while at the same time, breaking new ground with some special and exciting artists and events," he said.
"We have worked hard to ensure that entertainment is a real focus in 2012 with an unprecedented 100 hours of live music being added to this year's program making our event the ultimate music and camping experience."
Be entertained by a range of special music and events including Goanna frontman, Shane Howard In Conversation, a Willie (Nelson) and Kris (Kristofferson) Tribute, singer/songwriters Luke O'Shea, Brad Butcher, Brendan Radford and Lawrie Minson, as well as 2012 Toyota Starmaker Winner, Bob Corbett.
There is also an addition to the side of the Muster Main Stage. The Spotlight Stage will showcase a mixed group of gifted artists with special acoustic performances between the main-stage program - giving a taste of artists performing at other venues. Over 60,000 fans are expected to attend the Muster at Amamoor Creek State Forest between Thursday, August 23 and Sunday, August 26.
