AALIYAH Warren's audition on TV show The X Factor has become an online sensation, gathering about a quarter of a million hits on YouTube.

This is almost double the hits Australian artist Jessica Mauboy has received on her music video, To The End Of The Earth.

Today the Mackay teen is flying to Sydney to spend about five days recording in a studio.

"I'm a bit nervous to be honest," she told the Daily Mercury yesterday.

"It's all a new experience and I don't have much experience in all of that. But other than that, I'm just really excited."

Miss Warren, 15, auditioned for The X Factor earlier this year, which was televised last month. She made it through her live auditions after getting the approval of celebrity judges Redfoo and Dannii Minogue from her performance of Adele's About a Boy.

While she didn't make it through the next stage of Bootcamp, her audition created national hype and Miss Warren was head-hunted by entertainment company Creative Dreams Entertainment's Ryan Buckland.

He said her audition on YouTube had "gone crazy" and was also attracting international interest.

"It normally doesn't happen like that," he said. "That's just the power of the internet I guess."

At the studio Miss Warren will be workshopping some of her own pieces and recording some covers of songs to upload online.

She said the whole experience so far had given her an understanding of what the future might hold.

"It's a really big dream and I wasn't sure I'd ever get the chance but now it's come up it's pushed me to work hard and make it happen."

Now she's singing every day and writing music and is getting to learn about the business side of things such as contracts and managing money.
