Music stars show cancer support

DANCE for Cancer Cabaret Night organisers are excited; there is just over one week left till the annual fundraiser concert.

Organisers Debbie Wilmot and Peter Salata are thrilled to announce big guests will take the stage at the Stanthorpe RSL on the evening of November 4.

"Country music legend James Blundell will perform on the night,” Mrs Wilmot said.

"And Peter will be releasing his new CD, Homebound.”

All proceeds as well as $5 from each CD sold on the night will go towards the local cancer support group.

On top of performances from Blundell and local musician Mr Salata, the audience can look forward to singers Linda Bischoff, Heather Herman and Annalise putting on a show.

"All of the singers are donating their time in support of the local cancer support group,” Mrs Wilmot said.

Music fans are sure to get their money's worth,” she said.

"The music will range from rock' n' roll to country,” Mr Salata said.

There will also be a multi-draw raffle drawn on the night.

Mrs Wilmot said the annual fundraiser concert was in its fourth year of collecting money to help local patients.

"We have raised several thousands of dollars,” Mrs Wilmot said.

"It is a whole community effort. The money we raise will stay in Stanthorpe to help local people that are suffering from a terrible disease.”

So book a table at the RSL for November 4, enjoy four hours of fantastic music and support your local support group at the same time.
