Mum who helped daughter in pub fight fronts court

DIANE Stanley was banned from the Stanthorpe Country Club for a year after she punched a bouncer in the eye.

The 44-year-old Ballandean woman fronted the Stanthorpe Magistrates Court yesterday and pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and assault.

The court heard Stanley saw her daughter fighting in front of the venue at about 8.35pm on October 20, 2018.

She rushed to join the scuffle, grappling with the other combatants and striking the security guard.

Stanley was fined $1200, banned from the pub for a year and her convictions recorded.
