Motorway delays after truck, car crash

A CRASH on the Gateway Motorway caused major delays for morning commuters.

Emergency services were called to the incident about 7.20am after a truck and car crashed in northbound lanes, about 300m before the Lytton Rd exit.

Paramedics treated one 25-year-old woman at the scene and she was taken to Mater Mother's Hospital in a stable condition as a precaution.

Motorists were advised to expect delays and drive with caution but delays had cleared by 9am.

Elsewhere there was also congestion for other major roads around Brisbane, with heavy delays on the Centenary Highway from Mt Ommaney back to Wacol at 8am for traffic heading to the city, westbound on the Ipswich Motorway around Darra and Oxley and delays on the Pacific Motorway from Holland Park back to Upper Mount Gravatt and again from Eight Mile Plains back to Tanah Merah.

By 9.30am only minor delays remained on the Riverside Express northbound, Centenary Hwy inbound, Gateway Mwy northbound and Pacific Mwy inbound, with all other major routes clear.
