Motel is one of the best places you can stay in Qld

BUNDABERG Spanish Motor Inn owners Russ and Wendy Harvey are "tickled pink" at being ranked the 20th best rated accommodation in Queensland.

Based on more than 200 million traveller ratings, trivago.com.au recently announced its 2015 Australian Reputation Ranking.

Not only did the Bundaberg motel rank 20th in the state - with a rating of 92.79 - it was ranked 48th in Australia.

Mr Harvey told the NewsMail the ranking was a bit of shock, but nice to see.

"It is with much pride that the entire team here at the Bundaberg Spanish Motor Inn have received the news of our high ranking within the Trivago Online Reservation System," he said.

"To be named at number 20 in Queensland and number 48 in Australia is a great honour for us all.

Mr Harvey said the entire staff here at the Spanish strive to provide our guests with a comfortable and enjoyable stay with us.

"Our motto of 'Bundy's quiet motel where you'll listen to the trees and not the traffic' is the cornerstone of our customer service plan.

"We thank our many guests for taking the time to review us here at the Spanish. Our business is nothing without your support."

Mr Harvey and his wife have run the Spanish Motor Inn for the past five years, and before that ran another motel in the Rum City.

"We always wanted to give it (running a motel) a go and we really enjoy it."
