MONTEGO'S Bar and Restaurant at Kawana Island has made a comeback with a fresh new team.
Stewart Burchell heads a group of innovative and experienced hospitality professionals at the once-popular restaurant and function centre.
The former executive chef at Fraser Island's Kingfisher Bay Resort won many local, state and national awards for that resort's famed Seabelle Restaurant and enjoys sourcing the freshest local ingredients for his menus.
Burchell studied at the Ryde Food School while completing his training and worked at the prestigious Old Intercontinental Hotel in Darlinghurst alongside famed chefs of the early '90s.
Chef Steven Walker, also a partner in the business, has an outstanding repertoire of recipes and menus.
They hope to entice and delight Sunshine Coast diners with their flavour combinations.
Montego's event calendar will include food-and-wine-matching nights where the chef will cook your courses live at your table, wine dinners, Sunday afternoon seafood barbecues, all-day tapas menus, live music and long lunches.
Chef Dusan Milojevic will get diners off to the right start with his scrumptious breakfasts.
"Everything we do will be of the highest calibre," Burchell said.
"We want patrons to enjoy their experience.
"Montego's will be the place to go for an afternoon drink, lazy breakfast, corporate lunch or special event, such as a wedding proposal.
"We cater for every occasion."
Montego's is open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner and is available for corporate and social functions.
