Minister drops by to check out Fraser Coast flood recovery

THE Federal Minister for Agriculture has made a quick-fire stop in Maryborough on Thursday morning to check in on the local flood recovery.

Joe Ludwig, the Federal Minister assisting with the Queensland flood recovery, has been meeting with local government, small business owners and property owners across the Wide Bay over the past few days.

He met with Fraser Coast Mayor Gerard O'Connell during his visit over the devastating impact the floods have had on Fraser Coast farmers.

Mr Ludwig will visit at Gympie on Thursday afternoon.

"We're working with the state to provide direct assistance to businesses and primary producers," he said.
