COFFS Harbour is on the verge of producing another world champion.

Boxer Ben McCulloch is in Moscow preparing to fight on Thursday night for the interim WBA World super middleweight title.

Standing in McCulloch's way between him and the belt is undefeated Russian Fedor Chudinov.

The fight is due to go 12 rounds at the Dynamo Palace of Sports in the Russian capital but considering the knockout records of both boxers, it's likely the fight will finish early either way.

Chudinov has nine knockouts from his 11 wins but McCulloch, also undefeated, boasts 11 knockouts from his 14 fights.

"I have a plan. I'll try to score a knockout but I'm also prepared for a full distance fight," McCulloch said in the pre-fight press conference.

"It's my first time in Russia and I'm fully ready to show my best."

McCulloch comes into the fight in hot form with a knockout streak behind him. The 32 year-old was won his past eight fights inside the distance.

He said he's derived confidence from his past results but he has added confidence due to the tough training he's endured in the lead up to the title fight alongside trainer Tony Del Vecchio and manager Mike Altamura.

 "I've been training very diligently and I have sparred with top-notched boxers. I'm ready for a fight," he said.

"Fedor (Chudinov) is a very good boxer and I have the utmost respect for him. I'm sure the fight will be entertaining."
