MasterChef signs up new fans

KEEN cook Matthew Morley was delighted to meet MasterChef star Julie Goodwin during her visit to Toowoomba yesterday.

The 16-year-old and his mother Michelle were among a large group of fans who attended Mrs Goodwin's book signing at Mary Ryan's Book Store.

"My son is a huge fan of MasterChef," Mrs Morley said.

"He watches it every season."

Fellow fan Pauline Stewart was also impressed after meeting Mrs Goodwin.

"She is such an unassuming, natural and down to earth person," Ms Stewart said.

"And obviously she is a very talented lady as well."

Mrs Goodwin said she had enjoyed her short visit to the Garden City.

"We had a quick lunch at Picnic Point," Mrs Goodwin said.

"It was very nice."
