Mark ten Broeke returns to Scania to join sales team

MARK ten Broeke has returned to Scania Australia after a seven-year break to join the National Fleet Sales Management Team.

Mark will be based in Brisbane but will cover the east coast, and joins managers Steven Alberse and Phillip Mayfield, reporting to Sales Director Dean Dal Santo, as the brand is poised to surge past 1,000 annual sales once again.

Mark worked for Scania for 15 years prior to departing to broaden his industry knowledge with Japanese and American brands.

"I always believed that Scania could be a major player in Australia, and more than 10 years ago Scania Australia had a plan for selling more than 1,000 trucks a year here, and it has achieved that despite the interruption of the GFC,” Mark said.

"I have a passion for the Scania product, and now with the combined benefit of the suite of services we can provide to fleet customers, the Scania story is compelling.

"With everything from finance and insurance to repair and maintenance contracts, connected and driver services and the strength of a company-owned nationwide network of selling and servicing dealers, Scania is able to deliver a unique set of benefits to fleet operators across the country.”

Mark said Scania has proven itself capable of adapting its state-of-the-art product line-up to meet the needs of a diverse range of applications, from extreme heavy-haul and interstate line-haul, to medium-duty urban distribution, and a host of vocational tasks as well.

"I am looking forward to catching up with a few familiar faces, but also taking the Scania story out to fleet operators who have not yet had the chance to sample the complete Scania package, or appreciate exactly what we can offer in terms of improved uptime and total operating economy,” Mark said.

"As the leading provider of sustainable and low emission alternative and renewable fuel engine options, Scania can also provide answers for fleets looking to reduce their carbon footprint,” he said.
