Man allegedly caught with purse, phone, drugs

A MAN is facing several charges after police allegedly found him carrying drugs, as well as a woman's purse and a mobile that wasn't his following a search at Tweed Heads.

The man, 24, from Queensland was stopped by police patrols near Bay and Stuart streets at 2.30pm on July 18.

He was charged for possessing a prohibited drug and having suspected stolen goods.

He is due in court on July 31.
