Mal bikes in Germany as Wyatt wonders
MAL Brough is cycling through Germany with his wife while Wyatt Roy is laying low being 26 in the aftermath of the 2016 Federal Election.
Mr Brough (Fisher) like Clive Palmer (Fairfax) chose not to recontest his blue ribbon seat which has been won by Andrew Wallace for the LNP.
He can expect a parliamentary pension of around $117,000 for life but will have to wait at least a year to collect it, time the 55-year-old and his wife Sue are spending ticking off the bucket list.
The couple has reportedly been riding bicycles through the Mosel region - Germany's third largest wine growing district - as they tick off a bucket list of countries they want to visit.
Mr Roy, who will receive a one-off relocation payment of $100,000, has told media he wants to go back to being 26 and spend time with family and friends.
He did not return the Sunshine Coast Daily's calls Monday but has lamented to other media that more young people are not in parliament.
Mr Roy, who was elected to the seat of Longman in 2010, said he had served one in five days of his time on earth representing his constituency in parliament.
