Mackay singer performs 'Like a Version' for Triple J

HOME grown Mackay talent Tia Gostelow performed on Triple J this morning, for the stations popular segment Like A Version.

In the tradition of the segment, the singer performed an acoustic stripped back version of 'We are the People' by Empire of the Sun before performing her own song Strangers ft. LANKS.

Ms Gostelow's rise to fame started in 2016 when she was named the winner of Triple J Unearthed High Indigenous Initiative and earned herself a place in Triple J's Unearthed High 2016 Top 5 with her song "State of Art"

Since that moment its been life in the fast lane for the teen as she showcased at BIGSOUND 2016, was nominated for six awards the 2017 Queensland Music Awards and took home two, and released her most popular single to date 'Hunger'.

This year is shaping up to be even bigger for Ms Gostelow and her band as they take to the recording studio to record her first debut album through her own recording label 'Lovely Records'.
