Lowood Truck Show set to be a great day out for whole family
THE first year of the Lowood Truck Show, they only had 14 trucks and four trophies.
But now, five years on, organiser Rob Liston is thrilled with how it's grown.
"Last year we had 129 trucks and 52 trophies,” Mr Liston said.
"(We are) absolutely blown away with how it has grown.
"It's quite surprising on the Saturday morning to see all the trucks lined up and ready to go.”
The Lowood Truck Show will be held at the Lowood Showgrounds on August 25.
Mr Liston said he expected 150-200 trucks at this year's show.
"The show will start with the parade at 11am at Lindemans Road and runs through Main Street and back to the showgrounds,” he said.
He said it would be a "great family day out” with lots of activities for children and adults alike.
While there will be more than 50 trophies up for grabs, he said the top two trophies were the Rig of the Show and the People's Choice.
