Lovers take leap on romantic day

THE wedding of Nathan and Natalie Ostler was a romantic affair that accidentally coincided with Valentine's weekend.

The newlywed Mrs Ostler said that it was a random date that linked more to their family than the day of lovers.

"My mum's birthday was on Sunday and it was important to celebrate with our whole family," she said.

Marrying beneath Yamba Lighthouse was also a nod to their family, although they hope to settle on the coast eventually.

"Nathan's grandparents live in Yamba, so it was very special for us to get married surrounded by family," she said.

With Valentine's Day falling mid-week in 2012, wedding planner Carol Davies said that the weekends had been busy.

"The last couple of weekends have been fully booked," she said.

The Ostlers' will celebrate Valentine's Day with a "hopefully romantic" drive back to Mackay.
