Film festival receives local support

THE people of Gympie have again thrown their whole-hearted support behind the Heart of Gold International Short Film Festival, at the Civic Centre from October 8 to 11.

The "I love Gympie region" campaign is ringing true in Heart of Gold headquarters as organisers of this year's event gratefully acknowledge the community spirit and financial and in-kind support of Gympie's community.

A map of sponsor demographics (visit heartofgold.com.au or gympietimes.com) shows the extent of support in Gympie central business district and Gympie outskirts.

Fifty local businesses and individuals have sponsored the film festival, supporting film makers from 54 countries. Master classes in filmmaking will run from October 7-10.

Tickets are on sale online at heartofgold.com.au, or at the office at 214 Mary St.
