Love is in the air at Australia Zoo this Valentine's Day
WITH a huge cheeky smile, big crazy hair and an obvious zest for life, it's little wonder Tim Dormer's perfect date would include adventures, fun and maybe even a little bungee jumping or jungle climbing.
"My ideal date would definitely be with a girl who was a bit wild like me, up for a bit of an adventure and doesn't mind getting their hands dirty," Tim told the Daily.
"I don't like going to fancy restaurants or movies... take me out to the bush or something crazy like jumping out of an aeroplane."
The wild criteria will be met just perfectly when the Big Brother 2013 winner sits down for a picnic date at Australia Zoo as part of a new Valentine's Day competition. The popular TV personality, who is also a Global Wildlife Warriors Ambassador, is helping to raise money for tiger conservation.
"I guess lunch with tigers is pretty close to my ideal date," Tim said.
Visitors to Australia Zoo can buy a $5 raffle ticket to help save tigers and go into the draw to win a tiger experience, koala cuddle and picnic lunch with Tim.
"The Irwins are my heroes so it's been a dream come true getting to know them," Tim said.
"I love how the Irwins are just so inclusive and want to share their passion and I guess that's Steve legacy; motivating people and getting people excited about wildlife conservation."
Tim hopes his lunch date on February 14 turns out to be Ms Right, although he'll be just as happy if a family or a fella wins the prize.
"I promise to be on my best behaviour and hey, I'll even go on a man date if there's a bloke out there that wants to have one, or a family, or just a group of friends looking to have a fun lunch.
"Who knows I might just find the love of my life here, my future wife and start planning a wedding at the zoo," he said.
"I would definitely have my wedding here. I'd have to ask Terri (Irwin) how much she charges."
Prize includes:
- 1 x tiger photo with one of Australia Zoo's gorgeous Sumatran or Bengal Tigers, and Tim Dormer, on Saturday 14th February (valued at $400)
- A picnic lunch with Tim, including delicious paninis, chocolate dipped strawberries and Lindt chocolate macaroons (valued at $40 + Money Can't Buy)
